As a great ape conservation organization we care about the environmental repercussions of everything we do, including our decision to accept crypto donations. Is my crypto donation tax-deductible?

Yes!

Crypto donations are one of the most tax-efficient ways to give to charity. Your crypto donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law if you pay taxes in the U.S. By making a charitable gift, you may also be eligible to significantly reduce what you would otherwise owe in capital gains taxes. Which cryptocurrencies do you accept?

We currently accept more than 100 cryptocurrencies. If for any reason you do not see your currency on the list when you go to donate, please let us know and we can have it added.

Can I donate anonymously?

Absolutely. Through our donation form with The Giving Block donors can give anonymously and still receive a tax receipt for their records. That said, we love when you share your email address! We get to say “Thank You!” and provide you with updates on how your gift made an impact for bonobos.
